Many Voices

There are many voices. Voices of friends. Voices of co-workers. Voices of complainers. Voices of those who think they know the way. Voices of family members.  Voices of anchor men and women. Voices of other media.

We have many many voices we hear every single day.  Jesus said, "If you abide in My word, you are my disciples indeed, and you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free."  Jesus focused our attention on His word, which proceeds from the mouth of God, the word revealed from the Father through the Holy Spirit to us.  The Holy Spirit reveals the thoughts and heart of God, teaching us the ways of God the Father.  He reveals the Mind of Christ, which we have in Him, so we all begin to think alike, in the unity of the Spirit within us and through us, connecting us all together as One Body.

We are One in the actual reality of who we are in Christ.   We become one, in experience, as the body of Christ, the Church, with the same thoughts, and the same will, all originating from the one Spirit in Whom we are sealed.

How do we filter out the many voices around us?  We listen to the word of God. We abide in it, abiding in Him and loving Him alone.  We look for His voice, His interpretation of events and circumstances.  We look for His interpretation of what people say to us, whether is it of flesh or spirit.  We look for the will of God alone.

Not everything everyone says to us is important for us to hear. Only what God says is important is for us to hear and act on.  Other information is just information.  Just as events that happen are just events.  God directs us into the events and the information He wants us to involved ourselves in. Otherwise we have no business being involved.

Then Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak." John 12:44-49
